We are seeking to recruit a talented and qualified double bass specialist teacher to join our team of Visiting Music Teachers (VMTs), to start as soon as possible due to increased interest in the instrument and a desire to promote uptake of double bass. This is a self-employed position and the amount of work available will depend upon the number of pupils wishing to take individual double bass lessons.

In the first instance, we are recruiting a well-qualified double bass teacher to take on individual pupils in the Senior School for approximately one hour per week; however we aim to attract further pupils as part of the role to incorporate teaching across both Prep and Senior schools. An ability to teach cello is also desirable.

The Director of Music is responsible for the organisation of all VMTs, all of whom must undertake whole school INSET involving safe-guarding of children. Lessons are to be charged to parents at the rate of £18.75 inc vat per half hour lesson.
